Athlete Profile: Jamie Whiteford

Going away to college is an adjustment in the life of every student. We all remember the feeling of being away from our parents for the first time, living in a new place and trying to adjust. For Jamie Whiteford (’13) there was an ocean separating him from home. Born in Surrey, just south of London, Mr. Whiteford lived all his life in the United Kingdom. This begs the question, why is he here at William and Mary? The answer is, quite simply, that he is the Tribes brightest young tennis star. Winner of CAA rookie of the year award, CAA first team singles and doubles, and second team singles and doubles all-state, he is well on his way to national prominence.
