Men’s Golf Sinks Birdies for Breast Cancer
When Spencer Kushner (’13) learned that his girlfriend was diagnosed with breast cancer, the battle that affects countless Americans and their loved ones became personal. At home over winter break, the sophomore men’s golfer and Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) representative decided to start a philanthropy. Taking the initiative, he conducted research, called someone at the Susan G. Komen Foundation, received positive feedback, and planted the seed for “Tribe Birdies for Breast Cancer.”
