Fresh Meat with Pam and Anne: Ryan Hissey, JJ Sarty, and Mitch Aker

On March 18, 2013, we had a great time interviewing three of our Tribe Baseball Freshmen: JJ Sarty, Ryan Hissey, and Mitch Aker. JJ is from Round Hill, VA, plays as a left fielder and has not decided on his major. Ryan is from Westchester, PA, plays as a catcher and plans to major in Business. Mitch is from Vienna, VA, he is a pitcher and is undecided about his major, but is thinking         about majoring in Business.

Pam & Anne: How did you get started with Baseball and how many years have you been playing?

JJ: I started playing when I was five, my parents got me into the game.

R: My entire family has played baseball, I have three older brothers who play, my dad played. So I’ve been playing since I was 3 or 4.

M: My dad got me into it because he played, I’ve been played since I was 5.

ryan hisseyR: Yea, I feel like baseball is one of those sports you start really young.

Pam & Anne: You guys were all so young!

R: I would say from my Dad, he’s been with me from the start. He’s been down a

few times this year for some games.

M: I draw my inspiration from my grandfather, he played baseball. He passed away when I was 2, but I know he’s watching and I draw his initials on the back of the mound every time I pitch.
